The Grad School Road Map
Growing up the path most people I knew took was toward some sort of college and then to a job. This page is about showing that there are other paths. There are many great options such as trade school or the military. My experience is in a Phd program in the physical sciences so that is what this page will focus on.
This page will serve as an outline of what are the things you should be thinking about on your way toward graduate school. Sort of like how everyone in high school made a big deal about standardized tests or having the right extracurricular.
While we will talk about the application process, we will also talk a lot about general opportunities to participate in science (great even if you aren’t going to grad school). For those grad school-bound bound these will be great for your application (don’t worry it’s never too late to start).
Lastly, I will include stories from myself and my peers of our journeys to graduate school to serve as potential examples.
